Activities and Interests

Photography - Photography is something really close to my heart. They say that images are worth a thousand words so I guess you coould call me talkative. I use my camera to try to capture what I see. I love to show the details and structural beauty that may otherwise have gone unnoticed.

Graphic Arts - I've always played with the design of things. Right from collage in preschool I have been trying to make all of the elements of my designs work together. It wasn't until almost two years ago that i decided to allow myself to follow a dream and learn design, and now here I am.

Dance / Drama / Theatre - I attend dance classes weekly. I also work with many of the local amateur theatre companies in Canberra on a casual basis outside of work commitments. I enjoy being involved in local community theatre when I am able. I also regularly attend the theatre and movies.

Crafts - Secretly I'm really a nanna. I love craft and have always needed ways to keep my hands busy. So far I count amoung my skills knitting, scrapbooking, jewellery making, silver smithing, macrame, paper crafts, sewing... and those are the ones that come to mind.

Writing - I do a lot of writing. I have published a few stories through school collections, but spend some free time writing for my own enjoyment. I'm an avid reader across a wide variety of genres.

Music - Music is therapy for me. It's not uncommon to find me listening to something that echoes my mood (loudly when I'm angry). I have played both the piano and the flute though neither particularly well and I'm happy to sing as part of a group... or in the shower.
